Control Point Associates, Inc. was contacted in 2012 to document existing conditions of the nearly century-old Glenwood Landing power plant. Control Point’s client utilized the base mapping for the demolition of the 16 acre site. An underground mapping consultant was hired to perform ground penetrating radar assessments of the property area and to mark out utilities discovered. Control point then added the additional information into the topographic survey. Utilizing 3D Laser Scanning, Control Point was able to create building interior floor plans in order for the removal of equipment. 3D Laser Scanning also provided the ability to accurately show the location of the sub-basements.
